Football Game Preview: Marquette Crusaders vs. Elmwood/Brimfield Trojans

The Marquette Crusaders are taking a road trip to take on the Elmwood/Brimfield Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Marquette ended up a good deal behind Seneca and lost 43-26. The Crusaders have struggled against the Fighting Irish recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The losing side was boosted by Anthony Couch, who threw for 190 yards and four TDs. Marquette's leading receiver Connor Baker was Couch's top target yet again, picking up 74 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Elmwood/Brimfield came up short against Hamilton/Warsaw on Friday and fell 42-34.

Marquette's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for Elmwood/Brimfield, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-3.
