Softball Recap: Phillipsburg Takes a Loss

Phillipsburg suffered their closest defeat since April 16th on Tuesday. They fell just short of the High Point Wildcats by a score of 5-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Stateliners of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Phillipsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for High Point, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

While Phillipsburg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
