Softball Recap: Magnolia Sentinels vs. Saddleback Roadrunners
Magnolia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Saddleback Roadrunners, falling 19-5. The Sentinels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Roadrunners earlier this season, when they won 34-19.
Magnolia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sofia Miranda, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI.
Magnolia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Saddleback, their victory ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11.
Looking ahead, Magnolia will head out to challenge Century at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Saddleback, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rancho Alamitos at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Roadrunners will need to watch out since the Vaqueros have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups.
