Recap: Gulfport Admirals vs. St. Martin Yellow Jackets
The Gulfport Admirals were the 79-32 winner over the St. Martin Yellow Jackets when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Gulfport fell 66-53 to St. Martin on Tuesday. Gulfport has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
St. Martin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kai Vieira out in front who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vieira has scored all season. RJ Keys was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Gulfport has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for St. Martin, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-16.
Gulfport's road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Martin on January 17th. Hopefully St. Martin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday. As for they, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Gulfport.
