Basketball Recap: LaSalle-Peru Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hall last Monday, LaSalle-Peru came back down to earth. The LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers were beaten by the Kaneland Knights 58-29 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Knights are ranked 79th).

LaSalle-Peru now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Kaneland, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

LaSalle-Peru will venture away from home to take on Sycamore at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kaneland, they will challenge Galena at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
