Preview: Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors vs. University Christian Christians
After each having a week off, the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors and the University Christian Christians will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. Trinity Christian Academy will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
Trinity Christian Academy can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Everything went their way against Specially Fit Academy as Trinity Christian Academy made off with a 47-21 win. Given Trinity Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Specially Fit Academy is ranked 216th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Trinity Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Colin Hurley out in front who threw for 223 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Cameron Anderson was another key contributor, rushing for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but University Christian had to settle for a 29-26 loss against Bishop Kenny on Friday. University Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
University Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Alan Woods III, who rushed for 197 yards and two touchdowns, and Brandon Riddle who rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns.
Trinity Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for University Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Trinity Christian Academy strolled past University Christian when the teams last played back in October by a score of 14-0. Does Trinity Christian Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will University Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
