Soccer Game Preview: Marinette vs. Luxemburg-Casco

The Marinette Marines will square off against the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marinette is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

On Thursday, Marinette and Freedom finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw.

Charlie Bancroft and Hunter Schneider scored both of the Marines' goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Luxemburg-Casco and Denmark, and Denmark kept the tradition alive. The Spartans fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.

Marinette's draw makes their record 7-4-2 this season. As for Luxemburg-Casco, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7-1.

Marinette took their win against Luxemburg-Casco when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1 score. Will the Marines repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
