Recap: Windsor Locks Raiders vs. Rockville Rams
There's no place like home for the Windsor Locks Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They took down Rockville 42-25 on Friday. For Windsor Locks, this counts as revenge for the 31-29 defeat Rockville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Windsor Locks was led to victory by Maeve McGinnis and Shayla Gamache. McGinnis scored ten points along with seven rebounds and seven steals, while Gamache scored nine points along with seven rebounds and six steals. That's the first time this season that Gamache grabbed two or more steals. Katie Gough was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Windsor Locks has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Rockville, they bumped their record down to 2-10 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor Locks will take on Canton at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Rockville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East Granby at 6:45 p.m. East Granby is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
