After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Vincent, Leeds was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the St. Clair County Fighting Saints by a score of 4-1. This was a revenge game for the Greenwave: when they faced off against the Fighting Saints back in March, they had to take a 11-10 defeat.

Joseph Bryant looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jacob Calvin, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Leeds has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for St. Clair County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-10.

Leeds wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-5 loss against John Carroll Catholic on the 8th. As for St. Clair County, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Jacksonville on the 8th.
