Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Pirates vs. Royal Knights

The Riverside Pirates will head out on the road to challenge the Royal Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Royal is hoping to do what Rainier couldn't on Monday: put an end to Riverside's winning streak, which now stands at six games. Riverside simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Rainier 70-29. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Columbians are ranked 242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Royal put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Connell, posting a 78-39 win.

Riverside's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.4 points. As for Royal, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
