Football Recap: Anderson C Cavaliers vs. Mountain View Prep Stars
Anderson C had lost five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-3 to make it six. They were dealt a 51-6 defeat at the hands of the Mountain View Prep Stars. Having soared to a lofty 46 points in the game before, the Cavaliers couldn't push the score so high this time.
As for Mountain View Prep, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
Mak Anderson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 41 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 173 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jemo Stinson, who rushed for 61 yards and one score on only eight carries.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anderson C will square off against SouthLake Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain View Prep, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Union County at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
