Football Recap: Del Campo Takes a Loss

Del Campo had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-8 to make it five. They were beaten by the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos 56-13. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-6.

As for Twelve Bridges, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0. Considering they have won five contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Connor Frontiera had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 176 yards and three TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 165.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Chase Wyhlidko was another key player, rushing for 73 yards and one score on only five carries.

Del Campo and Twelve Bridges are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Cougars are taking a road trip to take on Bella Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Del Campo will be up against the Broncos' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.9 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Twelve Bridges, after each having a week off, they and Fairfield will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
