Softball Recap: Alexander Comes Up Short

If Alexander was feeling good fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Del Rio last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Alexander Bulldogs lost 8-2 to the Medina Valley Panthers on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Alexander saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacquelyn Tijerina, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Alexander's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Medina Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alexander will face off against Eagle Pass at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Medina Valley, they will challenge United at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
