Volleyball Recap: Hall Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hall was the 2-1 winner over Newman Central Catholic when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Devils fell just short of the Comets by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

Hall started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-15, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Kaitlyn Coutts and Caroline Morris, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Mia Wenzel and her 12 assists.

Amaya Gomez was the offensive standout of the match as she had eight digs and one assist.

Hall has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-20-1 record this season. As for Newman Central Catholic, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-18.

Coming up, Hall will venture away from home to face off against Oregon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Newman Central Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Rockridge on the 22nd.
