Basketball Recap: Rylie Berry Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Granada

It's playoff time, and Flagler had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Granada Bobcats by a score of 48-38 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Flagler's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylie Berry, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Berry is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games she's played. Sydnie Berry was another key player, putting up 17 points and four steals.

Flagler smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive contests.

Flagler's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Granada, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.

Looking ahead, Flagler and McClave will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. McClave will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Flagler surely won't give up without a fight. Granada does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
