Softball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

Kennedy extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 2-5-1 in the process. They lost 18-6 to the Bethel Jaguars. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 13-12.

As for Bethel, their win bumped their record up to 3-13-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the game before.

For Bethel's part, the team relied heavily on Dakari Washington, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave Washington a new career-high. Lily Fjellman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Kennedy will challenge rival Swett at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bethel is set to square off against their familiar foe El Cerrito at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
