Baseball Recap: John Glenn Comes Up Short

River View hit John Glenn with a six-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Little Muskies took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Black Bears. The loss continues a trend for the Little Muskies in their meetings with the Black Bears: they've now lost five in a row.

John Glenn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wylee Woodard, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. Woodard has become a key player for the Little Muskies: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-7 otherwise.

John Glenn's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for River View, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-7.

While John Glenn had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
