Basketball Recap: Kitz Petrovski's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Battle Mountain over Summit

Battle Mountain lost against Summit two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Battle Mountain Huskies took a 69-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Summit Tigers.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kitz Petrovski, who posted 13 points. That's the most points Petrovski has posted since back in December of 2024. Jackson Wansley was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Battle Mountain has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. Summit is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-17 record this season.

Battle Mountain has already played their next contest, an 87-48 loss against Eagle Valley on the 20th. As for Summit, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-35 defeat against Glenwood Springs on the 20th.
