Basketball Game Preview: Defiance Bulldogs vs. Archbold Blue Streaks

The Defiance Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Archbold Blue Streaks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Defiance has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Friday, Defiance strolled past Bath with points to spare, taking the game 57-39. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Archbold on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Napoleon out of the water with a 67-37 final score. The Blue Streaks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Defiance pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for Archbold, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

Defiance came up short against Archbold in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 54-43. Can Defiance avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
