The River Ridge/Scales Mound Wildcats can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They blew past West Carroll 60-16 at home. The win was nothing new for River Ridge/Scales Mound as they're now sitting on five straight.
River Ridge/Scales Mound got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gwen Miller out in front who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Miller posted two or more blocks. Emily Wiederholt was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
River Ridge/Scales Mound has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for West Carroll, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.
River Ridge/Scales Mound will head out on the road to challenge East Dubuque at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. East Dubuque and River Ridge/Scales Mound are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for West Carroll, they will be playing at home against Pearl City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Pearl City has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 6.
