Marshall won the last time they faced O'Connell and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Marshall Phoenix came out on top against the O'Connell Boilermakers by a score of 52-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Phoenix.

Marshall's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaelil Travis, who posted eight points along with five boards and five steals. Marshall is 2-1 when Travis posts five or more steals, but 3-4 otherwise. Martel Peters was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to six steals and five rebounds.

The victory got Marshall back to even at 5-5. As for O'Connell, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Marshall is taking a road trip to face off against Lycee Francais at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for O'Connell, they will host City Arts and Leadership Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 22nd.
