Basketball Recap: Navajo Pine Comes Up Short

Navajo Pine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Dulce Hawks and fell 62-30. The Warriors lost against the Hawks in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 52-45 score last time.

Despite the loss, Navajo Pine still got an impressive performance from Richard Davis, who posted nine points. Those nine points gave Davis a new career-high. Joshua Martinez was another key player, putting up six points.

Navajo Pine's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Dulce, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Navajo Pine wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 37-21 defeat against Non Varsity Opponent on the 21st. As for Dulce, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-33 loss against Zuni on the 21st.
