Creede and Primero are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Creede Miners will head out on the road to face off against the Primero Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Creede is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Sargent on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Creede was outmatched by Sargent and fell 63-36. The Miners haven't had much luck with the Farmers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Primero had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past the Mustangs with points to spare, taking the game 65-47.
Primero's win came from a few key players Creede will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mat Pachorek, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 17 points along with six boards and four steals. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Komaroski, who went 7 of 11 en route to 21 points and three steals.
