Soccer Game Preview: Hillcrest vs. Easley

The Hillcrest Rams will take on the Easley Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Hillcrest is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against J.L. Mann on Friday. The Rams took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. Hillcrest have struggled against J.L. Mann recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Easley faced Mauldin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Green Wave won by a goal and slipped past the Mavericks 3-2. Easley's winning goal came courtesy of Josue Cruz.

Easley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four matchups. As for Hillcrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
