Soccer Recap: Notre Dame Triumphs

While Notre Dame's victory against St. Andrews-Sewanee wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Fighting Irish had just enough and edged out the Mountain Lions 1-0 on Tuesday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Notre Dame's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 34th, while St. Andrews-Sewanee are ranked 207th).

Notre Dame's one-goal win came courtesy of Braydin Morris, who's now up to four this season.

The win made it two in a row for Notre Dame and bumps their season record up to 7-3-1. As for St. Andrews-Sewanee, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will take on Collegedale Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Andrews-Sewanee, they will square off against Boyd-Buchanan at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Boyd-Buchanan's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
