Johannesburg-Lewiston waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with 15 straight wins... but they left with 16. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over the Harbor Springs Rams. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 21-5 victory on Wednesday.

Madison Peppin and Brittney Fox did most of the damage at the plate: Peppin went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Fox went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Peppin has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Crane, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Johannesburg-Lewiston kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive games.

Johannesburg-Lewiston's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Harbor Springs, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
