Basketball Game Preview: Ottawa Cyclones vs. Bonner Springs Braves

The Ottawa Cyclones will face off against the Bonner Springs Braves on Friday. Ottawa is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Ottawa came up short against Eudora and fell 47-38. While losing is never fun, the Cyclones can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Cardinals are ranked 24th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bonner Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They secured a 30-26 W over Leavenworth on Monday.

Ottawa's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Bonner Springs, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.

Ottawa beat Bonner Springs 48-40 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Does Ottawa have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bonner Springs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
