Volleyball Recap: Conestoga Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Conestoga challenged Louisville on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Leading Louisville to victory were Kelsey Haynes and Holly Haworth. Haynes had 14 digs and two aces, while Haworth had nine digs and two aces. What's more, Haynes posted three assists, the most she's had over her last eight contests.

This is the second loss in a row for Conestoga and nudges their season record down to 11-6. As for Louisville, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Conestoga didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Twin River on the 4th. As for Louisville, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Guardian Angels Central Catholic on the 4th.
