Volleyball Recap: Conestoga Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Conestoga faced off against Louisville on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Maggie Fiene paced Conestoga's offense, picking up ten kills. Fiene got some help from Grace Rodis and her 14 assists. Finally, Rodis was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Louisville was led to victory by Kelsey Haynes and Holly Haworth. Haynes had 14 digs and two aces, while Haworth had nine digs and two aces. That's the most digs Haworth has posted since back in October of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Conestoga and nudges their season record down to 11-6. As for Louisville, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Conestoga has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Twin River on the 4th. As for Louisville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Guardian Angels Central Catholic on the 4th.
