Recap: Pleasant Valley Vikings vs. Ramona Rams
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Pleasant Valley Vikings can now relate to. They were beaten by the Rams 35-7 on Friday. Pleasant Valley's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Titus Andrus and Lucas Benson certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Andrus rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown, while Benson rushed for 80 yards.
Ramona got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Royce Mendoza out in front who picked up 102 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Pleasant Valley's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4. As for Ramona, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Pleasant Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ramona also has no future games currently scheduled.
