El Monte has gone a perfect 10-0 against Gabrielino recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Lions will host the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

El Monte's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Gabrielino, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
