Recap: Peabody-Burns Warriors vs. Centre Cougars
The Peabody-Burns Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight defeat. They fell 56-47 to Centre. Peabody-Burns has struggled against Centre recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Peabody-Burns had strong showings from Aiden Hurst, who scored 16 points along with four steals, and Jameson Miles, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Dalton Philpott was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds.
Peabody-Burns dropped their record down to 2-15 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Centre, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14.
Peabody-Burns will head out on the road to face off against St. Xavier at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Peabody-Burns focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Centre, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Wakefield.
