Basketball Recap: Miami Valley Takes a Loss

Miami Valley extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-4. They had to suffer through an 81-50 loss at the hands of the Legacy Christian Academy Knights. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-22.

Miami Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ajitpal Gill, who posted 15 points. Gurnoor Dab was another key player, putting up 12 points.

As for Legacy Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jacob Thompson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 38 points and 23 boards. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Grant, who went 7-for-15 on his way to 18 points.

Miami Valley has already played their next contest (against Meadowdale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will be home for the holidays to greet Calvary Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
