Basketball Game Preview: Phillipsburg Panthers vs. Hill City Ringnecks

The Phillipsburg Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Hill City Ringnecks on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Phillipsburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Smith Center by a score of 67-55 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Hill City was able to grind out a solid victory over Oakley on Friday, taking the game 50-38.

Phillipsburg better keep an eye on Carson Keith. He was instrumental in Hill City's win, going 7 for 14 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. The matchup was Keith's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Koby Keiswetter was another key player, going 5 of 12 en route to 12 points.

Hill City's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for Phillipsburg, their record is now 6-10.

Phillipsburg didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Hill City when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 41-35 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Keith, who posted 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
