Volleyball Recap: Jaelyn Wilkerson Key Part of Team Effort in Knights Win

While Lancaster Christian Academy's win against Varsity Opponent wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights had just enough and edged out Varsity Opponent 3-2 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with Varsity Opponent: they've now won three in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Lancaster Christian Academy got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 11-25, 25-13, 22-25, 15-9.

Lancaster Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaelyn Wilkerson, who had 23 digs, eight kills, and six blocks. Those 23 digs gave Wilkerson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn O'Dea, who had nine digs, eight aces, five kills, and two blocks.

Lancaster Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Looking ahead, Lancaster Christian Academy will challenge Riverside Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against New Life Camp on the 6th.
