After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Orange County, Monticello was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos a 1-0 shutout. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Monticello as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
