Football Recap: North Hunterdon Comes Up Short

North Hunterdon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Watchung Hills Regional Warriors. The contest was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Lions couldn't quite close it out.

North Hunterdon's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Watchung Hills Regional, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Hunterdon will face off against Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Watchung Hills Regional, they will venture away from home to face off against Linden on Friday.
