Basketball Recap: Interlachen Finds Playoff Glory Versus Baldwin

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Interlachen had no problem doing just that on Monday. They strolled past the Baldwin Indians with points to spare, taking the game 61-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2018.

Kemontae Nixon was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last four games he's played. Devon Williams was another key player, going 6 of 11 en route to 13 points.

Interlachen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.

Interlachen's win bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Baldwin, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Interlachen will face off against Newberry on Wednesday. Newberry will roll in looking for their 22nd straight victory, something Interlachen surely won't give up without a fight. Baldwin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
