Softball Recap: New Site Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for New Site's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Alcorn Central Bears on Saturday. The Royals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2017.

New Site saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tori Banegas, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

New Site's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Alcorn Central, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Site will square off against West Union at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Alcorn Central, they will face off against Mooreville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
