Softball Recap: Conner Takes a Loss

Conner suffered their closest loss since April 12th on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Notre Dame Academy Pandas by a score of 8-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Bre Meredith was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kayla Ortiz, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Conner's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Notre Dame Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conner will host Holy Cross at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Notre Dame Academy, they will welcome Simon Kenton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
