Recap: Charlotte Orioles vs. Eaton Rapids Greyhounds
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Charlotte Orioles ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged Eaton Rapids out 49-46. The victory was just what Charlotte needed coming off of a 72-26 loss in their prior matchup.
Charlotte's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaelyn Baker, who scored 16 points along with six steals. Another player making a difference was Peyton Howarth, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Charlotte has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-7 record this season. As for Eaton Rapids, they bumped their record down to 1-10 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charlotte will take on Olivet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Eaton Rapids, they will head out on the road to face off against Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
