Baseball Recap: St. Francis de Sales Comes Up Short

St. Francis de Sales lost against St. Mary's Prep on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Knights came up short against the Eaglets, falling 11-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered since May 2, 2024.

St. Francis de Sales saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Mitchey, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Ethan Heigert also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Francis de Sales and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for St. Mary's Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

St. Francis de Sales didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Clay on the 17th. As for St. Mary's Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-5 win against Western International on the 23rd.
