Baseball Game Preview: Foster Bulldogs vs. Cedarcrest Red Wolves

The Foster Bulldogs will challenge the Cedarcrest Red Wolves at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Foster comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Foster is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Evergreen on Monday. They lost 20-2 to the Wolverines.

Foster saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Santiagno Maquez Ramierz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Osvaldo Martinez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Cedarcrest unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Interlake. The Red Wolves were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Saints' pitchers proved too tough.

Cedarcrest's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Foster, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
