Softball Game Preview: Section Lions vs. Sylvania Rams

The Section Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Sylvania Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Section is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Thursday. Section lost 13-3 to Sardis.

Meanwhile, Sylvania suffered their closest loss since April 11, 2025 on Thursday. They fell just short of Kate Duncan Smith DAR by a score of 14-12.

Khloe Fulghum led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Jaylen Smith was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

The defeat was their first at home, dropping their record down to 4-7. As for Section, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Section came out on top in a nail-biter against Sylvania in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 23-22. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
