Baseball Recap: Tomales Beats Roseland Collegiate Prep for Their Third Straight Win

Tomales barely beat Roseland Collegiate Prep the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Braves were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Grizzlies on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Braves as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Jorge Lopez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Tomales is undefeated when Lopez posts two or more runs, but 3-7 otherwise.

Tomales' record is now 6-7. As for Roseland Collegiate Prep, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tomales will welcome Laytonville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.83 runs per game on average), something the Braves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Roseland Collegiate Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sonoma Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Grizzlies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Coyotes have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
