Lampasas won the last time they faced Taylor and things went their way on Friday too. The Lampasas Badgers put the hurt on the Taylor Ducks with a sharp 73-52 victory. The Badgers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

Taylor's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was TJ Whybrew, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 22 points and six rebounds. That was a full 42.3% of Taylor's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Laurence, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Lampasas' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Taylor, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lampasas will square off against Jarrell at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. Lampasas is facing Jarrell at the right time seeing as Jarrell is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Taylor, they will challenge Gateway College Preparatory at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Taylor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season.
