Volleyball Recap: Elk Point-Jefferson Takes a Loss

Elk Point-Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wagner Red Raiders. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Elk Point-Jefferson couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 23-25, 26-24, 25-15.

Elk Point-Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Wagner, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-5.

Looking ahead, Elk Point-Jefferson will be playing at home against Viborg/Hurley at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wagner, they will head out on the road to challenge Tri-Valley at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
