Soccer Recap: Birch Run Takes a Loss

The Birch Run Panthers came up short against the Airport Jets on Saturday, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Birch Run can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 256th, while Airport are ranked 60th).

This is the second loss in a row for Birch Run and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Airport, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Birch Run will take on Montrose at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Airport, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Grosse Ile at 4:30 p.m.
