After flying high against LEE last Friday, Johnson came back down to earth. The Johnson Jaguars fell 3-1 to the Churchill Chargers on Tuesday. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Johnson was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Churchill work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 22-25, 27-25, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Johnson had strong showings from Sierra Seal, who had six digs and 23 assists, and Natalie Davila, who had 13 digs.

The defeat snapped Johnson's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 19-15 record. As for Churchill, their win bumped their record up to 22-13.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when Jaguars takes on Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Johnson has won six straight at home dating back to last season, while Clark won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Churchill, they will challenge LEE at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Churchill is facing LEE at the right time seeing as LEE is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
