Football Recap: Knoxville Blue Bullets vs. Macomb Bombers
Knoxville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of the Macomb Bombers by a score of 22-19. The matchup was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Blue Bullets couldn't quite close it out.
Braden Holthaus was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 146 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes, and also rushed for 70 yards on only eight carries.
Knoxville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Macomb, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Knoxville will head out to take on Princeville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Macomb, they will head out on the road to challenge Illini West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
