Lathrop has gone 8-2 against North Platte recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mules will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Lathrop's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Thursday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lathrop fell victim to Maysville and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wolverines, falling 7-0.

Lathrop saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Busick, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when North Platte challenged North Andrew on Tuesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 13-3 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

North Platte now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lathrop, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Lathrop skirted past North Platte 9-7 in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Will the Mules repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
